The Marvel Rivals Invitational is a regional tournament series hosted by NetEase to kickstart the competitive scene for their new 6v6 hero shooter, Marvel Rivals. Oceania was the first stop, with Asia, EMEA, and North America coming up next. Each region features four invited teams and a $100,000 prize pool.
After a packed weekend on February 15–16, Kanga Esports came out on top, taking the Oceania 2025 title and $40,000 in prize money.
We hit a rough patch in the upper final, losing 0–2 to Platinum Star. But we bounced back hard, sweeping FURY 3–0 in the lower bracket and setting up the rematch. The grand final was tight — we went down early but turned it around, closed the series 4–2, and locked in the win.
This was a solid showing for the team, but also a big moment for the Oceania scene. The region’s been grinding for years and it’s good to finally see that work pay off on a bigger stage.
We came into this wanting to prove we belong and we did. Props to the squad for stepping up, and thanks to everyone who’s been supporting us along the way.
